research summary
It has been more than 10 years since the human genome, consisting of approximately 3.2 billion base pairs, was sequenced in 2003. However, even after the nucleotide sequence has been determined, there are still many things we do not know, such as what these genes mean and how each gene functions in the cell.
Genomic drug discovery is a field that uses genomic information to develop new drugs or drugs that are more effective and have fewer side effects. In the field of pharmacogenomics and genomic drug discovery, our research focuses on G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), which exist in cell membranes and play an important role in biological reactions, microarray and RNA sequencing technologies, which are in the spotlight as comprehensive gene analysis methods, and bioinformatics, which is necessary to analyze genome information and many other types of information. Our research focuses on bioinformatics, which is necessary to analyze genomic information and many other types of information.
